Who am I…

Below is a bullet point list about me.

  • BORN AND RAISED IN MEDFORD WISCONSIN

  • I grew up helping my dad in his cabinet shop which instilled in me a love of business.

  • I was 5 when I knew I wanted to own my own business someday.

  • Growing up I was the oldest of eight children, (I still am the oldest last time I checked) so this led me to become a leader for my siblings.

  • INTERESTS

  • I love swing dancing with my sisters on the weekends.

  • Growing businesses is my favorite thing in the world.

  • Helping others understand themselves is the one thing I will interrupt my schedule for without fail.

  • My Catholic Faith is an integral part of who I am.

  • Music and any art in general are of great interest to me. The reason for that is; I see every work of art as a direct peek into the mind of the creator. A peek which can express more than conversation can ever convey.

  • CURRENTLY LIVING IN WAUSAU WISCONSIN

  • I moved to Wausau (about an hour from where I grew up) a few weeks after I turned 18 in April of 2017.

  • I moved there because I grew up going to church there and it was my second family.

  • With a little bit of courage I had lined up a job working for the church tending the gardens. I lined this up in the fall of 2016.

  • The first year I was in Wausau I worked 5 part time jobs.

  • A BUSINESSMAN

  • In the fall of 2017, as most of my summer jobs were finishing up, I was offered a position as an Insurance Salesman. I took this job and gave it my full attention.

  • After about 3 months I started to get the hang of it and by the 5th and 6th months I was really rolling it in.

  • When this happened I started making big paychecks. I was there I had met my goal…but something didn’t feel right.

  • While I had met my goal I was not satisfied or fulfilled by money.

  • So I made a decision to follow my gut.

  • BUILDING MY NETWORK

  • After I made that decision I started to work on my own projects. I began to network with the people in Wausau to create more business connections.

  • Due to my time in the Insurance industry I learned how to connect with people very quickly and this helped me to get recognized.

  • In addition to networking with established business people I started to search for people that could be on my team. Someone who would be willing to get behind my ideas and dreams and help me build them. I found this in my Business Partner Ethan, who is now my best friend.

  • Together we have started a tea company called Che Mate [chay mah-tay]. We have developed more ideas that will come and we have helped each other to find what we are passionate about and what we are best at.

  • Through this time (the past 4-5 months) I have gotten a decent grasp on my passion or “WHY” and it currently is.

  • MY PURPOSE OR “WHY” IS…

  • TO BETTER UNDERSTAND MYSELF SO THAT I CAN HELP OTHERS FOLLOW THEIR DREAMS AND UNLOCK THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.

  • That is not the final draft of my “WHY” statement but it is a start.

  • For me I am so motivated by all of the positive things in life. I know that there are many negative things out there but to me it just doesn’t make sense to give them any air time. I want to give the positive things all the attention.

  • As mentioned before, in my interests section, I am super interested in helping other people understand themselves. It is really the one thing that I will set aside time from my schedule to help others do.

  • Because I have a clear sense of purpose I am highly driven to do. I seldom have a moment where I am not doing something. However that includes taking time to reflect, to pray, and to plan. I am not a believer in flurries of action with no accomplishment.

  • Another part of my decision to follow my gut has let me too…

  • NOW I’M PART OF PRAXIS

  • When I decided I would be willing to look into new things and try out the things that peaked my interest I applied for Praxis.

  • This has launched me into an even deeper mission to understand my motivations, to help others, and to try new things.

  • With Praxis I will be completing 6 months of the online bootcamp and then in February of 2020, I will be starting yet another chapter in my life. In February I will be moving somewhere in the country to work with a startup company for 6 months as an apprentice. This will teach me so many new skills and give me a chance to really be a part of something great.

  • The goal of Praxis for me is to become a more effective professional in all aspects, and to meet new people who are like minded.

  • ASPIRATIONS

  • To be an inspiration to other Catholic Professionals.

  • To have a family.

  • To help others reach their goals.

  • To own a swing dancing club.

  • To learn how to Lindy Hop
